Weigh system

One of the leading products developed and manufactured by our company used in poultry breeding is an automatic poultry weighing system WGJ-8. It consists of 3 types of weighing scales (particularly recommended WGJ-W scale), control and record panel and PC software allowing continuous visualisation of scale indications, presentation of data in a form of statistical lists, diagrams and tables. The software and hardware solutions developed in our company ensure a large number of weightings (over 6.5 thousand weightings per day have been recorded during one day period on the scales mounted in a hen house in a broiler. WGJ-W and WGJ-P scales allow weighing from 30 g up to 32 kg, therefore they can be used for hens, turkeys and other birds during the entire breeding period both in fattening as well as in procreation processes. The weighing values are digitally sent to the control panel which allows connecting all scales in the system with one common cable and increases system resistance to disturbances and failures as well as it allows for individual handling of each scale and grouping them in the so-called “flocks’ (hen houses) – this allows recording up to eight independent “flocks” of different parameters such as introduction date, species and sex of the flock etc. The control panel, apart from recording weightings in non-volatile memory (each weighing is individually recorded along with a date and hour), it continuously indicates statistical parameters for each scale and for each flocks (calendar and weigh day, number of weightings in a given day, average, growth, etc.) and allows easy overview of the flock histograms (the average and growth for each breeding day). The system is equipped with a unique feature which allows comparing the average flock weight to the model weight for a given breeding day (model weight curves for such breeds like ROSS-308, COBB-500 and Hubbard Flex and F-15, as well as BIG-6 and BIG-9 turkeys are recorded in the memory of the control panel). With this feature it is possible to immediately evaluate the flock breeding process and detect any irregularities early.

Besides the above mentioned features the computer software (operating in Windows ® 98 up to Windows 7) enables remote operation of one or more control panels (connected with the computer by means of cables or wireless): setting up of weighing parameters, setting alarms, entering new model curves, etc. In addition to the system we recommend the WGJ-R recording manual scales powered with batteries which can be easily transported and mounted in any place. It is used for manual weighing of birds. As its most important advantage it allows handling up to eight flocks independently during the entire breeding period (up to 1000 days) and recording each weighing along with a date and hour. The manual scales, similar to WGJ-8 automatic poultry weighing system, indicates statistical parameters and is PC compatible.

We are proud to mention that in 2008 the WGJ-8 automatic poultry weighing system was awarded a golden medal during the International Pig and Poultry Farm Fair in Poznań.
