Manual poultry scale WGJ-R

Manual poultry scale WGJ−R has been designed for manual or automatic poultry weighing. The weighing module is integrated with the control panel and is equipped with a scale holder. The scale measurement range is between 0,03 kg to 32,00 kg with graduation of 1 g. The scale can remember up to 50 million measurements. A single recording in automatic mode can last up to 1000 days. The scale allows up to 1.000 recordings without the necessity to delete data from the memory. The scale is powered with batteries which allows for easy transportation and installation in any place.

 

Before weighing in the manual mode the User defines the standard weight of hens and cocks and then, before each measurement, defines the sex of the bird. Average time required to weigh one single bird is approximately 2 seconds. The device indicates the performed number of measurements on regular basis as well as the average weight of hens and cocks. A full statistical analysis of the measurements is possible at any time.

 

The automatic measurement mode allows for independent operation of the scale – owing to the advanced calculation algorithm the device can identify the weight of the single bird and its sex. Before recording the user puts in data regarding species and age of the flock. The standard weight of hens and/or cocks can be specified in three different ways:

 

• based on the 5-point curve (of hens, cocks or without identification of sex):
  before recording the User puts in standard weight in 5 days of breed, the device automatically calculates the standard weight for individual breed days,
• put in manually  (hens and cocks):
  the User must correct the standard weight at least once a day,
• automatically (common for hens and cocks):
  before starting to record the User puts in the initial weight.

Before recording in automatic mode the user defines the flock type:

• hens,
• cocks,
• mixed flock,
• flock without distinguished sex of birds.

 

Independent of the operation mode the gathered data can be statistically analysed. The following values are calculated:

• minimum weight in a given day,
• maximum weight in a given day,
• average daily weight,
• variance,
• standard deviation,
• alternation of the flock,
• heterogeneity of the flock,
• daily increase of weight.

 

Values: current weight, average weight in the last day, recently weighed and other data are displayed on a clear display on the front panel of the scale. You can operate the panel with a keyboard to search for measurements and use other functions such as browsing through previous measurements, reviewing statistical data analysis, printing reports.

 

The device has been equipped with a RS−232 interface which can be connected to a PC to allow remote management of the scale, reading of the gathered data and more detailed analysis and visualisation in a form of graphs.

As an option the WGJ−R scale can be equipped with a printer to print daily reports: manually at a given time or automatically once a day at a given time.

 

The manual scale WGJ-R is currently offered in a new set including (apart from the scale, operating manual and a CD with software) a power pack for the battery, connection cable for PC (via COM port), a swivel to eliminate errors caused by turning of the scale (bird) during weighing (it is fixed on the hook of the scale), and most of all a resistant, dust-proof case which protects the scale during transport and storage even in difficult conditions (humidity etc.)

• reading and statistical analysis of measurements recorded by the scales,
• graphic visualisation of the statistical data,
• reading and recording of system adjustments,
• continuous reading of current indications of the scales with active connection to the system,
• it operates in Windows® (from 98).
