The device on the basis of temperature, humidity and carbon dioxide measurement inside a livestock building controls flaps opening in chimneys as well as side curtains in order to keep the target temperature with optimum humidity and possibly low carbon dioxide concentration.
The controller has operated for over two years and controlled the microclimate in two halls with gravity ventilation. The breeder achieves there better production results than in his other building equipped with mechanical ventilation. What is particularly important is good weight growth of pigs for fattening and low FCR as well as substantial decrease in electricity costs.
