Converters
The device enables conversion between RS232C and RS485 standards. The direction of transmission is chosen by means of the RTS line in RS232 or automatically- autodetection at TX line by means of RS232. Maximum transmission speed is 115 200 bods. In order to enable a correct work of the system of direction of autodetection it is required to define the range of speeds by means of a rotary switch. The device is equipped with a galvanic separation between the RS232 and RS-485 interfaces at level 1 kVDC. It has got two operation options: with ‘echo’ (at RX line the state of A and B lines of RS485 is returned regardless of the transmission direction) or without ‘echo’.
Characteristics:
- transmission speed from 300 to 115 200 bods,
- automatic choice of transmission direction or by means of the RTS line in the RS232,
- galvanic separation between the RS232 and RS485 interfaces at level 1 kVDC (0,7 kVAC),
- supply 5VDC stabilized (an external power supply 230VAC/5VDC included in the set),
- power consumption in receiving state about 60Ma, during transmission- dependant on the load of the RS485line,
- signalling of the operation by means of light-emitting diodes,
- surge and anti-disturbances protection,
- two operation options: with ‘echo’ or without ‘echo’,
- a cable from the RS 232 of about 1,5m length with a DSUB-9 plug,
- from RS485 separable terminal block, raster 5mm,
- a housing made of plastic with small dimensions (without connections and cable: length x height x width in mm): 117 × 67 × 44.
