Module 4ZW is a part of the JOTAFAN system that enables to increase the number of sections of microclimate controllers (sent by the VIRGO, TERMISTAT and COMBO controllers equipped with an RS-485 bus). The module has got four independent output sections (a voltage output, an electronic switch) which kind of operation (ventilation/heating) and turning on/off point are configured in the master controller.

It is possible to connect up to 2 Modules 4ZW to TERMISTAT-..-485-LCD controllers. Thanks to this solution it is possible to connect 8 additional ventilation sections controlled in ‘ON/OFF’ mode. There is a possibility of connection of up to 3 Modules 4ZW to the VIRGO controller.

Communication between controllers and the module is done via an RS-485 interface and thanks to that transmission is resistant to external disruptions. When the lack of communication is detected in both devices then the following acts are performed:

1. Controllers:

• an alarm signal (as in case of lack of communication with other external modules)

2. Module 4ZW:

depending on the microswitches settings:

• turning off all sections,

• continuation of the last control,

• turning on Section 1 and turning off the remaining sections,

• turning on all four sections.

In case of a power supply failure of Module 4ZW an alarm will also be activated by the master controller.
